NEAT December 1997 Interesting Objects

1997 YL₁₁ = B4Z9NC is a high-eccentricity Mars-crossing asteroid discovered with NEAT on 12/29/97 with unusual motion and V = 19.0. It is 1-2 km in size with a,e,i,q = 2.68, 0.42, 5, 1.5476 (G. Williams, SAO).

1997 YR₁₀ = B4WEGF is an Amor Near-Earth asteroid detected with NEAT on 12/29/97 and recovered with NEAT on 12/30/97 moving 3.2 degrees/day at V = 18.4. It is 210-470 m in diameter with orbital elements: a,e,i,q = 1.71, 0.33, 37, 1.1448 (G. Williams, SA0).

1997 YM₉ = B4MB0J is an Earth-crossing Apollo asteroid discovered with NEAT on 12/28/97 moving 4 degrees/day at V = 19.1. It was recovered by NEAT on 12/29/97. It is quite small with size of 25-60 m and close to the Earth. Its orbital elements are a,e,i,q = 1.0954,0.1038,7.89,0.9818 (G. Williams, SAO).

1992 BF is an Earth-crossing Aten discovered with PCAS (Helin et al.) and not re-observed for several years. NEAT recovered it on 12/25/97 and 12/27/97 leading to a refinement of its orbit.

B3FCDP was a Near-Earth asteroid candidate detected with NEAT on 12/25/97 moving 4.1 degrees/day at V = 18.6. It has been lost.
